I tried cleaning two TagEditor files for sending back to the client.

The one issued this error message:
(-2147467259): Unexpected Tag '' has been encountered at Controls
'',
''.
File skipped!

The second issued the error message:
(-2147467259): UnExpected error during backward conversion StartOfInput()
Please check the log file......
File skipped!

I myself have no idea of what to do with these.

Anybody have any ideas on how to resolve these issues? I would appreciate it.

not supported tag added Nov 23, 2009

Hi Henry

That's means that you have added tag, which is not supported by indesign filter. Run "Generic tag verifier" and remove all extra tags from target.

INX again Nov 23, 2009

Hi Henry,
INX files can sometimes be very problematic. Here is what I suggest that you do:

1. Run tag verification on the document. If it finds no errors, proceed to the following points.
2. Download the latest INX filter from talisma.sdl.com
3. Re-open the INX files in TagEditor and have it translated with your TM
4. Try to clean up or Save target as.

If that doesn't work:
5. Export your TM into TMX
6. Download MemoQ
7. Create a new TM in MemoQ and import your TMX into it
8. Open the INX in MemoQ and have it translated with your TM
9. Finalize the MemoQ project.

I hope this helps a little.

BTW: I have experienced no problems with INX files in Trados Studio 2009. If you receive INX files regularly, I suggest that you upgrade to Studio.

Thanks to both of you.

I ended up coming to an arrangement with the agency because of the time frame.

The problem is probably my old Trados programme. I haven't used it all that much because of the nature of the work I do but I do need it once in a while. I should probably update.

So once again, thanks.
