Any chance of translating the Transit files in Trados and converting it back?

Tomas Forro   Slovakia Local time: 10:16 Member (2008) English to Slovak + ...	Nov 19, 2009 Dear colleagues, Have you got any experience with translating transit files in trados tag editor? I recently got a project in Transit which I don't work with very often. On the other hand, my tm and glossaries are made in Trados/Multiterm. I was wondering if there is any chance to open the transit files in tag editor and convert them back after translation (or any other way). Many thanks for any help! You might find some guidance looking here in the archives or having a peek at the Yahoogroups forum for Trados. You might be able to chase up the right INI file that way. Edited to add: P.s. I recommend doing your final QA with Transit, however and creating the delivery package that way. (These packages - PXF & TXF - are just renamed ZIP files.) Failure to do so could let nasty formatting problems slip past you. I'm really afraid that I could make the translation in Trados and then convert it to Transit with some serious issues that would waste a lot of time to fix. Download and use PlusToyz by Arkady Vysotsky Nov 19, 2009 http://www.geocities.com/avvysotsky/PlusToyz.zip You can convert the Transit files to rtf bilingual Word files and then back.
