First I started having problem when error message appeared saying "object of instances...", and searched the solution on this forum, tried some advice (e.g. removing 3 xml files in SDL Trados Studio folder, uninstall and reinstall the program). It seemed to have worked, but then another error message appeared saying "Sdl.TranslationStudio.ApiProjectManagementIProjectManagement service couldn't start"(The message appeared in Japanese because I use Trados in Japanese). I found the solution for this message for iMac users, but not windows PC users.
It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can help me.

This question has been asked before but anyway...
I had the same problem once and since I have a servcie contract, I contaced SDL support and this is what they told me to do.
Please try the following: exit SDL Trados Studio, browse to the relevant directory.
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[USERNAME]\Application Data\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\[VERSIONNUMBER]
Windows Vista/7: C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\[VERSIONNUMBER]
Here you find the following 3 files:
BaseSettings.xml
plugincache.xml
UserSettings.xml
Make a backup copy of them in a spare folder and delete the 3 original files.
Launch Studio and try again.
It worked for me. Hope it works for you, too.
