Deleting MultiTerm template from Word Startup works! Feb 27, 2013

Dear "artfully" and all others involved,
I am so glad that you posted the solution for stopping the MultiTerm (2011 in my case) plug-in in Word (2010 in my case, under Windows 7), as it cannot be removed via the plug-in settings options in Word itself. It took me some time to arrive at this page, but it was worth it.
I should not have installed it in the first place when I installed MultiTerm.

Thanks a lot!

Is it worth the efforts? Jan 14, 2014

I want to thank all the people who provided information how to solve this problem.
Unfortunately, none of the proposed solutions worked for me.
After several wasted hours of bumping my head in Microsoft/Trados walls of incompatibility, I decided to skip the Integration with Word when installing Multiterm.
However, as I use the Word add-on very often I tried more and - I don't know how - the issue was solved. What I did is uninstall the problematic latest SP2 versions of Trados

After several wasted hours of bumping my head in Microsoft/Trados walls of incompatibility, I decided to skip the Integration with Word when installing Multiterm.
However, as I use the Word add-on very often I tried more and - I don't know how - the issue was solved. What I did is uninstall the problematic latest SP2 versions of Trados and Multiterm, then install the SP 1 versions (which did not cause any problems when I used them) and over them I installed again the latest versions.
I can't follow the logic of what I did but... thanks again for the advices!

Similarly, the quick and dirty solution is to remove the Multiterm addin (i.e. if you do not need it) from the STARTUP folder:

Right click on Windows icon at bottom left, hit run and paste this exactly:
%userprofile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Word\Startup

The macro-enabled template causing the issue in this case is probably called Multiterm9, or same version thereof.

I cut the file from the folder and pasted it in My Documents.

Removing it also resolved the "compile error in hidden module MT insert functions" error pop-up at the close of each MS Word session.
