I bought the upgrade to trados LSP and I got the programm to download. I did so and when I try to install the programm I get the following error message:

Error 1309. Error reading from file:
D:\...\Trados\Upgrade2LSP\...\Templates\Winalign6.dot
Verify that the file exist and that you can access it.

What's wrong? I have the file, I have the administrator rights and the programm can't find it.

Which OS? Oct 9, 2004

Hi Yolande,
Which operating system are you using? If it's Win XP, how did you unzip the downloaded file?

Best, Ralf

That's the best question Oct 9, 2004

I don't know how it had been unizped. I gave it to someone I know to download it for me and give it as a CD (because of the size of the programm, I didn't want to hang so much on the internet - I need my internet connection for other purposes; he has the cable and I have only ISDN). He put the software unziped on a CD.

I will ask on monday. Till then I can still use the freelance version.

Yolande

I have Windows 2000, I hope this person hasn't unzipped it under Windows XP.

Remove write-protection Oct 9, 2004

THAT explains it...

I believe that the transfer via CD-ROM is the problem, as by default files copied from a CD-ROM are often write-protected. Try removing the write-protection (right-click on the file and uncheck the 'write-protected' attribute in Properties - General).

Everything Ok, Thank you. Oct 11, 2004

I extracted this time myself the programm and it is working. It seem it had been some problem between the two computers.

Thank you very much!
