How to translate only "no match" segments?

Hi,
I've agreed to a split project and I'm to do the portion that has "no matches" under Trados. We're using identical settings and TM, and the other portion (matches >50%) is being done by somebody else.

Is it possible to ignore segments with a match so that I can concentrate just on my part? Automatically?

Any tips much appreciated!

Analyze the file, then export Oct 28, 2004

When you analyse the file you can export unknown segments and adjust the % to 50%. This gives you a .txt file.

Good luck!

Thank you very much!

Okay, maybe this is equally simple;
How do I/we "isolate" just the mathces to ensure that we do indeed produce the full document at the end of the day?
Thanks again!

Create a new TM and apply it to the untouched file Oct 28, 2004

My first idea...

If you and your colleague do a clean-up of their respective portions into a new TM each, and if one of you imports one of these TMs into the other, you should end up with a new TM containing all the target segments (no more and no less). Apply it to the original file, and this should do the trick. Or am I missing something?

Regards,
Stefan

You're a step ahead of us... Oct 28, 2004

Hi Stefan,
Thanks for your input.
I am not that far yet, however, as I don't yet have a TM. Ultimately I will have, and merging the two will allow a full translation of the finished document.
At the moment I'm happy though, as it's good old S.E.P.
