Cannot reinstall Studio 2011 SP2 Freelance

After quitting Trados for 2 years (never got used to it) I am now trying to install it again but can't.

I keep getting error 1722 followed by error 1603. I have uninstalled Java 3 times already and the same message appears over and over again. Also, my antivirus isn't blocking anything either.

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Your problem can't be related to Java because Java is not required anymore since Studio SP2.

Thank you for trying to help me, but none of your suggestions seem to work.

I forgot to mention my laptop runs with Windows 8.

I am about to quit Trados for good.

Download & Installation Problems
- I use SDL Trados Studio and/or SDL MultiTerm 2009, 2011 or 2014

So if you have tried everything suggested, when you get to this point you'll be presented with a form to contact support. Complete all the fields in the form making sure your email address is entered correctly or nobody will be able to get back in touch with you.

Also use the Chrome browser to log the case if you have it; you'll get more success in completing the form.

As Walter says I don't think this is related to Java (although only Studio 2014 SP2 removed java... not 2011), and the articles Guillaume mentioned are probably the most likely solution... but a support engineer can help you manage this.
