Translating Excel comments with Trados

Is there a way to translate Excel comments (those with red triangles) with Trados except using T-Window for Clipboard? Neither TagEditor nor T-Window for Excel are able to extract them...

Change the filter definition file Feb 1, 2005

You need to change the "CommentProcessing" tag in the filter definition file Excel_1_0_0_0.xml (or Excel_2_0_0_0.xml, I'm not sure, maybe in both). Change it to "On". By default, the file is located in Program Files\Trados\T65_fl\Tt. Then you should be able to translate Excel comments in TagEditor.

I thought I had found the answer for my problem, but I believe the post was for an oder version of the software.
Do you have a solution for the newer version
2007 Freelance and translating an Excel 2010 file

2007 Freelance and translating an Excel 2010 file


Quite intuitive

Windows Start menu, All Programs, SDL International, SDL Trados 2007, Trados, Filters, Filters Settings, select Excel 2007, Content and macro processing, check Translate Comments.

It works for both Excel 2007 and 2010.
It's recommended to install the latest filters update, the initial XLSX filter in Trados 2007 Suite is incredibly buggy.

I'm amazed approx. 90% of Trados users are not aware of this little application.
