Hello,
I have recently installed Trados 6.5. However, I don't want Trados to start when I open Word (2002) and therefore deleted it from the startup folder and copied it to the Templates folder (User/Application Data/Microsoft). Hello,
I have recently installed Trados 6.5. However, I don't want Trados to start when I open Word (2002) and therefore deleted it from the startup folder and copied it to the Templates folder (User/Application Data/Microsoft). I activated the Trados template via Templates and Add-Ins. However, I only got the Trados toolbar and not the Trados menu. I have tried several things but now I don't even get the toolbar but only the message that the macros are disabled. I lowered the macro security but that didn't help either. So the only way to make Trados work is to leave the template in the Word startup folder?

AFAIK it should work Feb 22, 2005

...maybe it is a corrupt dot file making trouble. Search for:
~Trados6.dot
~Normal.dot

If Bingo, delete it and try again. That is what I do with Plustools and some other templates like Solidconverter to avoid conflicts
