Trados 6 Winows XP Word 2000
I have exported a memory to a txt file, then when I try to import it in Trados on another computer, I get the message 'import successful...1929 units INVALID' and the new memory remains empty. Trados provide no help on this.
TIA:-)

Check the languages
Mar 9, 2005
Hi Ailish, Have you checked whether the TM you're trying to import into has exactly the same language settings (though not necessarily in the same direction)?
Is Check matching sub-languages activated in the import dialogue?
Best, Ralf

Hi Ralf, yes in importing this time I checked that box, but it still doesn't work (exactly the same message)...
Should I check that box in EXPORTING too?

...languages?

Hi again, That function is only available in the Import dialogue.
What about the languages in the two TMs - are they identical?
Cheers, Ralf
