Hello!

I have just installed Trados 6.5 Freelance but can not find a termbase. As far as I know I am supposed to create one in Multiterm, but where is that program located? Is it a part of Trados? Should it be installed automaticly along with trados?

Any suggestions.

Thanks!

Separate installation Mar 31, 2005

Hi Dimitrovao,
MultiTerm is a separate program, and is not automatically installed with Trados Workbench. You can use Translator's Workbench without term recognition, though.

Best regards,
Ralf

Translating in Trados Workbench you'll create your own translation memory. Translation memory consists of the segments you have translated. The basic steps have been described in HowTo section.

http://www.proz.com/howto/103

As Ralf has already said, Multiterm is a separate program that you can use to create terminological databases, which can facilitate the translation process. A simple termbase consists of corresponding terms in source and target language. How to get Multiterm to work with TWB is also described in howto/103.

Vesna

MultiTerm is already included in your purchase Apr 1, 2005

If you purchased Trados 6.5 Freelance, MultiTerm is already included in your purchase. However, MultiTerm is a separate download. So check your account/download page on the Trados website and download and install MultiTerm. Hope this helps.
