Source text in Trados is displayed as not hidden
Thread poster: Coreen

Sometimes the text translated is displayed with some segments of the source text next to it (paragraph mark off). The source text which should be hidden (there is no dots under it)is not. I noticed that most of the times it happens when the text is in tables. So far I have used Format Painter hide the source segments. Any other suggestion more efficient? Thanks

I published one possible solution on this forum some time ago: http://www.proz.com/topic/30151

You can give it a try.

Atthough the document will clean fine, I wonder if there is something that can be done to avoid this. Thank you for your help.

Cleanup May 9, 2005

I try to avoid the standard Trados cleanup (activated from the Workbench) as far as possible - the Word/rts conversion involved in this process quite often causes problems.

And I send uncleaned translations for proofreading to people not necessarily familiar with Trados.

These are the reasons why I use the preprocession of tables I mention above.
