Hello,

I am new to Trados and I have problems with TagEditor when trying to verify tags in the .ttx translated bilingual file. I hope some one can help me

I have checked the option "Trados general tag verifier" in Tools->Plug-ins. Then I go to Tools->Verify and I just get the message "the parameter is incorrect". What can be happening?

PS I have TagEditor 6.5.5.438. I have even reinstalled Trados several times but it does not improve

Hallo Hans!

I was only trying to practice a little bit with TagEditor and just took the Yahoo! UK homepage (htm file) and tried to translate it into German. Not a real translation

I just got the same error (Trados TW 5.0), while analysing a .doc file.

Any solutions to this problem yet?

Hello Jan,

I am afraid I abandoned that difficult task (it was the Yahoo! homepage but I was just trying to practise with TagEditor) and the problem did not appear any more in later "real" works. So I am sorry, I do not have any suggestions to help you

I got a reply from SDL, they referred me to this link:

SDL said the problem was due to some local environment factors on my system, because the same files could be cleaned up without problem on their test computer.

Since the fix is so vague, it could relate to almost anything... See more

I will work through the check list, but I have faint hope that it'll help.
