Hi,

I am new to the world of Winalign (6.5.5). Just now I tried to align two files, but I get the Error message 33206, saying: 'Source/Target delimiter not found'. This happens both when I select 'Align Project' and when I select 'Align File Pair'.
What have I done wrong, or what should I do?

TIA,
Antoinette

Which file type? Jul 7, 2005

Hi Antoinette,
Which file type are you trying to align?
Could it be that one of the files was already translated using Trados?

Best regards,
Ralf

Word doc.files Jul 8, 2005

Hi Ralf,

Which file type are you trying to align?

They are both Word doc.files.

Could it be that one of the files was already translated using Trados?

Yes, it's the first translation I did using Trados (file 1), and its original text (file 2). As I thought I did something wrong at the time, I thought I would align them now, but then I got this error message.

WinAlign worked just fine with two other Word doc.files.

Have you cleaned up the translated file? Jul 8, 2005

Hi again,

Could it be that one of the files was already translated using Trados?

Yes, it's the first translation I did using Trados (file 1), and its original text (file 2). As I thought I did something wrong at the time, I thought I would align them now, but then I got this error message.

Have you cleaned up the translated file? If you haven't, it will still contain source and target text, plus tags - with this, WinAlign is bound to go haywire...

Best, Ralf

Thank you, I'll check it out Jul 8, 2005

Hi again Ralph,

Well, I think I cleaned it, but since it was my first attempt at using Trados I may have done something wrong at the time. Thanks, Ralph, I will check it out.
Anyway, it's a relief that other files are working just fine.

Antoinette
