How do I start?... Trados 3

It´s the first time I´m using Trados or any translation software. The manuals migth as well be in Chinese. The main problem I have is that I don´t seem to be able to get any text into the workbench. I´ve read every word of the 'help topics' and all I´ve managed to do is set up word to be used in Trados. What do I do next? Many, many thanks!

I don't know how advanced you are, but this is what should work.

Open WorkBench - Open the Word document that should be translated (make sure the Trados toolbar is shown in Word) - press 'Alt' + '+' and the first translation unit should open!

I hope this works.
