My client gave me an Excel document to be translated by using T-windows Trados. The document itself is in column A. I must translate it into column G. What steps to do that. I really appreciate any person can help me.
OS Windows XP. Ms Office XP & Trados 6.5

First translate the doc. in T-windows for Excel Sep 8, 2005

When this is done, you will have a doc. named xxx_translated.xls

Open this doc. and copy the translated column - then open the orignal doc. and paste it into column G. Save the doc. and send it to your client.

This is how I do it.
Perhaps there's a better way, but I don't know about it.

Use TagEditor Sep 8, 2005

If you have Trados 6.5, there is no need to use T-Window for Excel. Use TagEditor instead, it's much better.

Create a copy of the document containing only the column A, translate in TE and copy and paste into the final document.
