Yesterday I finally bought an Upgrade to Trados 7 from my former Trados 5.5.
I installed it and it seems to be working all right (the tool bar has changed to a new one). The problem is I can not update Tag Editor: it is still working with my former Trados 5.5 and still not opening all the files it should.

Who can help me? I am getting crazy

Sabina

How do you open TagEditor? If you use a desktop shortcut, that might the reason. Try opening TE 7.0 from the Start menu.

If it still doesn't work, remove Trados 5.5 and install Trados 7 again.

Uninstall before Upgrade Sep 8, 2005

It is highly recommendable to uninstall the previous Trados version before an upgrade. In theory, they should be able to coexist, but in practice...strange things happen sometimes.

Hi,
Different versions of Trados may coexist, but you need to make sure to register the version you're going to use, before using it (Start - Programs - Trados 7 - Register Trados 7).

As users don't always remember this, it's strongly recommended only to use one version at a time.

HTH, Ralf
