HI. Has anyone worked with Trados 7.1 and InDesign Cs2 files?
I exported Indesing files to INX format, and I tried to open them in tag editor but I get errors. The system asks for a tag setting file, but the default ones do not include inx files.
Thank you very much for your help.

Maybe you could ask this guy: Jan 26, 2006

He seems to know something about it!
Hope that helps.

Register Jan 27, 2006

Hi Gloria,

First I would register SDL TRADOS 7.1 by going to Start->Programs->SDL TRADOS 7->Register SDL TRADOS 7
Make sure you have all SDL TRADOS applications closed while doing that.

If that doesnt help, go into the Registry and check the key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TRADOS\Shared\Plugins\FileFilters]
"FilterDefinitionsFilePath"="C:\Program Files\TRADOS\T7\TT\PluginFileFilterDefinitions.xml"

It should be pointing to this path by default. If not, you can correct it manually.

Best Regards,
Luis

Hi Luis,
thank you very much for your reply.
I still cannot make it work.
Maybe this is a stupid question... but what do you mean with "go into the Registry"?

Thanks again

Gloria

Accessing the Registry Jan 28, 2006

Hi Gloria

To access the Registry, click on the Start menu then on Run.
In the text field, type regedit.
In the resulting window, in the left panel, follow the path indicated by Luis, until you get to FileFilters.
Click on it and in the right panel you should see the path mentioned by Luis.
If you need to correct it manually, right click on FilterDefinition and choose Edit to edit the path.

Hope this helps,
Roberta

Trados 7.0 - Indesign Cs2 Jan 30, 2007

Hi there, I have a similar problem, I use these versions and when I try to open the sample file that comes with Trados FL 7.0 it looks a bit dodgy, lots of incoherent codes. Anybody knows if it´s because I need Trados SDL 2006? The sample files says ID 2.0.

I tried the sample file because when I open my INDD file created with InDesing CS2 it says I don´t have the fonts (even if I find the fonts in TrueType format, it doesn´t work since it asks for Type 1.

Thanks
