I must convert a multiterm 5 termbase (*.mtw) into multiterm iX. I have used the Multiterm Migration tool and I have selected the mtw termbase but then it appears a message saying 'The database could not be open. It looks as if its file has been renamed or deleted in the meantime. If the database resides on a networkdrive, please check whether the drive is mounted'. Nothing of this is happening.
Do you know what is wrong? am I doing something wrong? Could you help me?

Thanks a lot,

Nat.

Could you please indicate which MTiX version you are using (full version number, please - go to Help - About to find out)?

Best regards,
Ralf

Hi Ralf,

I'm using Multiterm 6.0.1.209. Do you know what can be happening?

Thanks for your interest?

Nat.

Outdated version Feb 6, 2006

Hi Natalia,
I'm using Multiterm 6.0.1.209. Do you know what can be happening?

Not exactly - but this first version was replaced in summer 2003 (for good reasons, AFAIK) with 6.2.0.267 (subsequently upgraded to build 287).

I have never used that version of the conversion tool - never had a problem with builds 267 or higher.

Did you copy the MT5.x termbase from a CD-ROM?

Best regards,
Ralf

Sometimes there is a password in the Multiterm 5 file and the Migration tool will not proceed without it. Ask whoever you got the Multiterm 5 termbase from for the password, if it is required.

Hi Piotr,

I have a user ID and Password, but how can I use them in the conversion process?
