With Workbench FL (6.5 or 7), is it possible to change the color of segments translated using Tools > Translate on a Word (doc or rtf) file?
MultiTerm glossary terms come out blue, but Workbench segments remain unchanged. This is a problem when outsourcing Japanese > Chinese, as a lot of our terminology is single-word or single-phrase segments for pamphlets. It's sometimes difficult for Trados non-users to distinguish whether we've pre-translated or not, and this leads to missed segments

It's sometimes difficult for Trados non-users to distinguish whether we've pre-translated or not, and this leads to missed segments that become system unusable characters later on in the pre-press process.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Options/Translated text colours Feb 18, 2006

Hi,

Before pre-translating, try to go (in the Workbench) in the menu Options/Translated texts Colours, and then select the relevant colours for each type of segment (100%, fuzzy or new).

HTH,
Sylvain

Thanks for the embarrassingly simple answer.

Maybe I need more sleep...
Hopefully I don't need more help.
