I'm trying to clean up a Word doc and I get the same error message. Ahmad, do you know how to solve it in Clean Up mode? I did not translate the ToC and some paragraphs. I have a couple of subsegments, too. Does any of these matter? Thanks.

This will solve the problem but will not update your TM. HTH Kind regards Ahmed Wadan

Ahmad: Thanks for providing the solution on how to clean the file. Very helpful! I am just wondering if you ever understood what was causing the problem, or whether you figured out a fix that directly focused on the problem rather than a workaround. I am having the same issue with a file that I have to turn in tonight. Thanks! Andrew

See more Hello everyone! I had the same problem yesterday, everytime I tried to analyse or clean up I got this message with one particular document. It almost drove me mad and I spent all day searching the internet and the Trados help files for possible solution. However, nothing worked in my particular case. Today, I just started translating the document hoping I could at least remove the source text with tw4winclean but then half way throught the document I discovered what caused the problem. I opened a segment and got the message: "Don't use ; as list separator in style name" In Trados help it actually says that Workbench cannot handle style names whith this character when converting to and from RTF. To fix the problem: Click Start. On the Settings menu select Control Panel. Click on Regional Settings. Click the Number tab. In the List Separator text box, change the semicolon to a comma. Confirm. I could then continue with the translation and CLEAN UP in the end!!! I had no idea that one little dot could cause so much trouble. I hope this helps those who can't find a solution in the other topics. Sonja ▲ Collapse

Hi I had the same problem this morning with a file as I couldn't manage to analyse it and kept on getting that same error (352575064). What I did was this. I opened the file. Saved it as RTF. Went to track changes (menu Tools). Accepted ALL changes. Saved files back as aword files. Then I analysed it and it worked! Some clients use it and track changes and trados always give problems! [Edited at 2006-06-18 09:28] Well, I have had the same problem and it's a Word file question. In my case, I had some text box and images grouped in some canvas. I just removed it and it worked

Copy and paste into new file | May 8, 2008 |
I just had the same problem analyzing a file. None of the above solutions worked for me. I have a very long Word file with text boxes and an automatically generated TOC. Deleting the TOC did not help. Then I copied the file (except the TOC) and pasted it into a new Word file, saved it as doc. Now the analysis worked. Just wanted to contribute this as another possible solution. Hope it will eventually help someone. Marita

I did what Aykon suggested and it didn't work. I tried to accept all changes, as Marta suggested, but Word told me there were no tracked changes in my file. Before I came to this thread, I did what Marita suggested but it didn't work.
