Hi all,
Anybody ever come across a macro or likewise to capitalize selected words in TagEditor? I mean st like the Sh-F3 function in MS Word.
Thanks,
Tangopeter
(WinXP + Trados 6.5.6)

Edit - Change case Jul 12, 2006

Hi Tangopeter,
A similar function was introduced with TagEditor 7.x.

Best regards,
Ralf

Yeah but... Jul 12, 2006

Thank you for your quick answer Ralf, but that doesn't really help me at the moment
The point is, that I have to capitalize a lot of single words in a rather long text.
There must be other ways (I hope).

Beside Shift+F3 (which works in Tageditor) only search&replace AFAIK Jul 12, 2006

Tageditor has no macro functionality.

So I really don´t know other way as Shift+F3 or search&replace with considering case.

Regards
Jerzy

Alas, Shift-F3 does not work in TE (not in TE 6.5.6 that is) Jul 12, 2006

You're right Jerzy, I already thought I would have to fall back on a separate macro utility/program. But I was hoping someone had some experience with any of these programs, or a suggestion, as I am not very familiar with macro's...

Does it have to be TagEditor? Jul 13, 2006

I'd assume you have to do that for the targets. Why not export the TM and process the text file (with word of course) and then reimport?

That would be an option indeed... Jul 13, 2006

though it might be cumbersome going through the file (after translation you meant, didn't you, Vito?) and looking up all the word (combination)s. They are many indeed!

I still think that an outside (outside TE that is) macro would do the trick.

However, I am almost halfway through the job right now, but will continue looking for a solution again after the job is done...

Thanks all and regards,
Tangopeter
