Hi Kaisa,
If you open TRADOS without a license, it will automatically launch the demo version, which lets you handle only a small memory (up to x number of segments).
As the version recomended, since they are now at version 2006, I guess you don't have much choice...

You can download the latest version of Trados (SDL Trados 2006) from this address:
or by clicking on the "Demos, Tutorials and Webcasts" link on the page you mention in your message.
As is the case with many other programs, all you will need to launch the full version once you have installed the trial version is a licence key, which you have to order separately and download from the Customer Center.

...how you get on (if you think of it of course). I will be getting a version of Déjà-Vu in the near future, but I'm an absolute beginner at CAT-tools. I'm torn between translating a lot faster in the future and losing a lot of time now (learning to use these programs). Cheers
