I can't open client's TM

I have Trados 6.5 and I'm trying to open a client's .txt TM. I keep getting this: "import finished successfully. 0 TU read in 0 seconds, 0 updated, 0 added, 0 invalid.
What does that mean?
I've checked similar postings but I still don't know what to do.
I'd really appreciate any help you can give me.

If the header in the txt-TM states something else than what is defined in Trados Workbench (the TM you are importing to.
If you get Wordfast you could load the txt-file and export to TMW-format, after that you can load it into Workbench.

This morning my computer died!
I just can't believe it!
Well, while I have it repaired or until I decide I have to buy a new one, I will be using one I borrowed from a friend. My client has sent me the the text and TM again, and I will have to install free wordfast here (wordfast seemed to recognise the TM allright).
So in the meantime I will not even be able to apply while you all suggest.
