Uppercase when opening segment in Trados

I have a small problem with Trados and Word. When I open a new segment in Trados (every version I've ever used) the first word never changes automatically to uppercase. The option is enabled in Word because if I write outside the Trados segment I don't have this problem. Is there any way Trados recognizes the uppercase at the beginning of the sentence?
