I am trying to translate a table of contents in a text and the above message keeps appearing ("End of paragraph cannt be found"). I have tried to put a paragraph mark at the end of the last section break, but unfortunately nothing happened. Can you please give me some advice on how to fix this. Thanks a lot.

Automatic ToC? Oct 10, 2006

Hi Susanna,
If the ToC was created automatically in MS Word (you didn't specify the file type, so I'm assuming this refers to a Word file...), there is nothing to be translated.

That's right; but if Old Bitch Trados has even but sniffed the presence of a ToC she won't go past it.
In Word/WB you can fake your way past it by NOT analysing the DOC and start translation well past the ToC.
Maybe you'll need to present the doc as an entirely new thing.
Trados KNOWS the other one has got a TOC in it, so...
When you've finished translation, and you know how to generate a ToC, well...

There is such a thing as a bookmark handler, too.

Thanks for your tip, you're right. I realised I just had to update all fields in the ToC once I have finished and it'll automatically replace the English with the translated text.

Cheers,

Susanna
