Recently upgraded your Java or .NET Framework? Nov 21, 2006

If you upgraded you Java Runtime Environment or NET Framework and the old versions were removed, that you have the reason.
You MUST have JRE 1.4.2_08 and .NET Framework 1.1.
You MAY have the latest NET Framework, but then, however, all other NET Framework should be deinstalled. Or at least it is how I understood what I read on SDL Support site.
Please also refer to a parallel topic on the same forum: http://www.proz.com/topic/59912

Kind regards
Jerzy

kick out updates Nov 21, 2006

same trouble here.
the java and net Jerzy mentions are on my disk; first I thougt it was the latest java update (_o9) that did it, so I had that removed; but no good.
Then I had a look at my most recent (18/11) windows updates; there were three security updates; after kicking these out (and restarting) the Word-MT connection was restored.
damn those things

TOPIC STARTER
weird! Nov 21, 2006

I can't remember making any update these two last days and until today everything was working fine. Anyway, I just downloaded the java-version Jerzy recommended (thanks a lot), didn't uninstall any other still existing Java, restartet the pc and it worked!
I decided not to understand the phenomenon, I just want/need it working)
Thank you!
