Hi, I am trying to clean a .doc file but I get the following error: could not convert the document due to an OLE/COM or file name error

Can anybody help on this matter?

That's a very old error Dec 26, 2006

Yes, just save the file as RTF, then clean the RTF file.
You can save it as Word .doc again afterwards.

I tried to saved the document as a rtf file but it didn't worked...

What worked for me was using the clean option of Wordfast, but the file was translated with Trados 7, not with SDLX.

I hope this helps.
