Hi there,

I have a question concerning project settings for imported alignment files.

1. I aligned several EU directives and their translations.

Hi there.

I work with Trados freelance edition 6.0 and the only way I know to do it is:

1) In WinAlign, before exporting the files to TXT, go to Settings > Project > tab Export > click button User Defined Fields.

2) A pop-up screen called Text and Attribute Fields will appear.

3) Under Text Fields, write "Directive", then click the Add button.

4) Under Text Field Content, write the directive you're aligning.

4) Under Text Field Content, write the directive you're aligning.

5) Click the OK button.

This way, after you import the TXT files into Workbench, when you do a concordance searh, under the translation pair (original segment + translated segment) it will read "Created on", "Created by", [...] "Directive: (name o directive).

Keep in mind that you need to do this with every new directive that you align.

I hope it makes sense and is useful. Please let us know if it works.

Kind regards,
Jerónimo

Dear Jerónimo,
