Hi there!
I managed to get a copy of Trados 7.0 freelance and
MultiTerm, on the cd there was Trados, Multiterm and *.lic,
unfortunatelly after installing it I realised that it's
running in demo mode despite the fact that I chose *.lic
file as it's licence code. Can anone tell me if I'm doing
something wrong while installing it or it's this software's
settings that make it impossible to install a cope on
another computer 9despite the fact that i have licence
file)
I'll be grateful for some info.
E.

You must copy the *.lic (license) file to your HDD Jan 21, 2007

and then during the installation point to it.
If you have already installed Trados, copy your license file to your preffered location on your HDD, start Trados Workbench, go to help menu, chose Info, start the License Manager and point it to your license file.

HTH
Jerzy

one more question... Jan 23, 2007

Thanks a lot - it worked of course!

Now I have one more question - if I align two files in WinAlign and then export them to TM in Workbench, is it later possible to switch source and target language, if for example I am to translate similar document but not into English but into Polish let's say, how to change source/target language in already existing TM?
Please forgive me if this question sounds silly, these are my first steps with Trados...
thanks in advance!
Ewa

It is an easy procedure Jan 23, 2007

After you have created a TM in any language pair you can reverse it (ie EN-PL to PL-EN) by exporting it to a txt file (menu File - Export in Workbench), then creaiting a new TM with an exactly opposite language pair (pay attention to language subset, ie EN-US MUST be imported into an EN-US TM, or it won't work) and importing the exported text.
In this way you can easily and quickly switch the language direction.
