TTX file always closed when type the first letter

TTX file is suddenly closed when I type the first letter or space for target segments. What I do is that I copy the source segment and translate leaving some letters at the beginning and then delete the first some letters I left. However, it is very inconvenient. I use Trados 2006. Please advise. Thanks!
