Hi all,

I now use TagEditor with a laptop keyboard. How do I change the hot keys? If I want for instance Set/Close next Open/Get as Alt W. How do I do that? I just downloaded the software Autohotkey but still do not know how I do it... Help!

I think you misunderstood. I have a laptop that does not have the numeric keyboard. That means that I can not use alt num + for instance.

How can I change the hot keys. In MSWord it is easy...

Well, first of all you have to read the manual, at least this part:

The scripting process is quite simple, if all you want is to assign keystrokes. First of all, make a new text file (remember to change the extension later to .ahk). Then type the combinations you need.
For example, to make Alt + W work as Alt + NumPlus, y... See more

but it does not work. I am no Coputergeek. Trados got to be one of the most user hostile software ever made

Can I not change the hot keys in TagEditor?

No, you cannot change hotkeys in TE.

Why the script is not working?

Do the following:

1. Open Notepad.

2. Type the text: !w::!NumpadAdd

3. Save as test.ahk to your Desktop.

4. Double-click test.ahk.

hmmm but in T-windows for Excel this does not work. Anyway, the most important was TagEditor.
