Workbench crashes with runtime error

Good morning,

I use Office 2000 on a WinXP machine. I've installed Trados 2007 on Saturday and have been using it successfully for the last 3 days. (Yes I know it was Eastern but I HAD to work.)

Anyway, this morning I came to a part in a (so far successfully worked upon) document where I had to enlarge segments ever again. However, whenever I enlarge a segment two or three times in a row using CTRL/ALT/Down, Workbench crashes with the following error:

> Runtime Error
> Program [pathtoTT4WIN.exe]
> R6025
> - pure virtual function call

Sometimes, no error message appears (only the "Windows had to close..." message).

That's a bit annoying as I have 3-4 pages before me where I MUST enlarge segments.

Reorganizing the TM didn't help.

Any help is appreciated

[ADDITION]: I've just found that disabling term recognition seems to be a workaround. Not a very satisfying one, though.

[ADDITION2]: Performing as described in Addition 1 seems to make Workbench more stable. However, it is not really reliable yet (i.e. it still crashes now and then).

Worth doing, though. Apr 10, 2007

Hi Christian,

It's not as much work as it looks.

Quite apart from anything else, the suggestions in the SDL Knowledge Base article will tidy up your termbases and help you get the best out of your investment.

Good luck!
