Correcting segmentation errors in Trados 6.5

I am currently working on a project that involves a lot of abbreviations.

As you all know, Workbench automatically assumes that a full stop is the end of a sentence. Therefore, it breaks down the text into two separate segments every time it encounters an abbreviation point.

The client gave me an abbreviation file, which I linked to Trados, but I still encounter a couple of segmentation errors.

Does anyone of you know how to correct these errors manually?

Thanks in advance and best regards,

Expand/Shrink segments Apr 25, 2007

You can use the Trados menu, there you will find the options to expand/shrink segments.
Ctrl + Alt + Page down - to expand a segment
Ctrl + Alt + Page up - to shrink a segment.

I hope this is what you were looking for

"Expand/Shrink segments" doesn't work Apr 26, 2007

Thank you for your reply.

I should have mentioned it, but I can't expand the segment. I get the "cannot resize segment" error message.

Have you "fixed" the document? Apr 28, 2007

I ran into this problem once. No matter how much I tried it would not resize the segements. One click on the "fix document" command before beginning the translation and the problem disappeared.

Just my $0.02
