I am using Trados 7 and when I try to translate the first segment of a text, the following error appears:
(33353): end of paragraph not found

I can't find anything wrong with the text. It's a normal text.
I believe this must be something very simple, but I can't figure out how to solve it.

Any suggestion?

First step... Apr 28, 2007

Olá

Sorry if this is very basic and you have already done it, but, just in case:

The very first step for clearing that error is to check if is there a paragraph mark at the end of the segment. Normally that happens when there is a section or a page break and no paragraph mark just before it. Click in Show All (Mostrar tudo) and check if the end of paragraph is there. If not, just place the cursor right after the last character (last letter or full stop), but before the break, and press Enter.

Um abraço

Edric

Obrigada Apr 28, 2007

Eric,

Obrigada pela ajuda. Eu já tinha tentado fazer isso, mas não tinha seleccionado o "Show All". Vou tentar novamente.

Muito obrigada!

I have the same "end of paragraph" problem. I have Trados 7 and Office 2007... What should I do?

Help somebody please!

"Fix document" command May 17, 2007

Try using the "Fix document" command, from the Trados menu in Word. That should do the trick.

Hope this helps,
Roberta

Trados 7 is not compatible with Offie 2007 May 17, 2007

In this case, the problem is not caused by the lack of an "end of paragraph" character, but because of the incompatibility between Trados 7 and Office 2007. Office 2007 is compatible with Trados 2007 only. You should use Trados 7 with Office 2003.

I've tried that, and it doesn't work. Actually, I'm getting that error message in all my documents.

I also made sure the 'end of paragraph' marks are there... 8-(
