Yesterday I was working on a Word document with Trados 6.5. (This is MS XP Pro with Office XP Pro). I closed the document and did some browsing, looked through my mails, etc.. This morning when I opened the document (Trados was already open) its menus and toolbars had disappeared and there was no way of activating it. Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks...

Have you checked the template? May 11, 2007

Is the Trados-template activated in Word?
If no, activate it first.
If yes, close Word, go to Trados installation folder, find the template within there and copy it to Word startup folder.
This should help.
Shouldn't this, try to recreate your Normal.dot, as it might got corrupter. Don't delete you original Normal.dot, but simply rename it.

If all this does not help, use the system restore facility of Windows XP and restore the system to the latest date befor

TOPIC STARTER
Pasting the template seems to have solved it, Jerzy May 11, 2007

(unfortunately, I went through this forum and found an earlier thread that involved erasing the "Data" folder and may have to start it again. But all the TUs are stored).
