When translating the PowerPoint file, I saw the letters in some sentences so I did not know what it is.

Please help me explain and instruct me how to handle in the PowerPoint file.

Thank you,

Tracy

seems like

i) it is TagEditor 2007 (which version)
ii) PowerPoint (which version)
iii) "letters in some sentences" - which letters, which sentences? What's the problem?

See, we all want to help.... Just give us a chance...

SDL Trados File Formats Reference Guide May 14, 2007

Hello Tracy,

If you open the SDL Trados File Formats Reference Guide PDF file in your installation directory (SDL International\T2007_FL\English [or French, if you prefer]), you will find all the basics about working with PowerPoint files.

There's also a TagEditor tutorial in the SDL International icon group (SDL Trados 2007 Freelance\Tutorials) that might help you to get started with tagged files.

Have a look and then get in touch again if anything is still unclear, perhaps with a little more detail as Vito suggests.

All the best,

Giles

Powerpoint May 15, 2007

Hi Tracy:

PPT files can sometimes cause problems in CAT tools because of the way they were created (...and that is a polite way of putting it).

It might be worth looking at the more recent posting here: http://www.proz.com/topic/73122

Good luck

Chris
