I use Trados 7.1, build 719.

I want to open a html file. I open TagEditor, open the html file, choose predefined html tag settings from Trados/TT file.
The file opens but instead of the whole document in the View mode I can see only one red tag which says DOCU. I cannot see any text for translation. I can see the content of the file in Preview mode. I cannot start the translation. Am I using wrong tag settings?
Thank you very much.
Agnieszka

basic answer Jun 7, 2007

I use tageditor 7.5, build 759:

1. open the html file, select Edit tab
2. in tageditor, select Tools -> Tag Settings...
3. in tag settings manager, you should see a little red checkmark (it means active ini file) in an icon of the HTML4.ini file. if another ini(s) is(are) active, delete it (them).

if you still see one tag only there maybe a problem of corrupted ini or html file. try to get the correct one(s).

if it doesn't help please see your trados pdf documentation for more information and/or contact sdl support.

so far so good, but Jun 22, 2007

Your tip Pavel has been very helpful so far.
However, after having translated a couple of files the problem's come back. I have only one ini file defined in TagSettings. But this time I can see one tag only.
Should I contact SDL support or is there something simpler I can do?
