I just clicked in the wrong place, in Multiterm, and now both the project pane and the browse pane have become detached and can be moved around the screen, but I want them back in their proper places. How do I get them back into their proper places? There does not seem to be any information on this in the Multiterm manual, large as it is.

Allow docking Jul 4, 2007

Hi Astrid

You want those windows to 'dock'. If you click into the frame of one of the detached windows you can mark Allow docking. There should be a check mark in front of it. If that is the case, you can move the window back into the larger Multiterm frame and it will dock on.

Good luck!

It simply does not work as easily as that Jul 4, 2007

Hi Marinus,

Thanks for the suggestion, anyway. However, it is only possible to put one of the two panes back into the window, not both. One can be slotted in on the right-hand side. However, the other one remains loose, and there is nowhere to put it anyway, because meanwhile the entry section has expanded right over to the left-hand side, and, if I put anything on the left-hand side the entries will be covered up. So how do I move the entries back over to the middle now, so that I can put the pane back on the left-hand side?

Astrid

Keep fiddling around Jul 4, 2007

I know it ain't easy...

You may first have to reduce the Multiterm window so it doesn't appear maximized. Then pull the docking windows out of the Multiterm window onto Windows Desktop. Fiddle around until it's the right size. Next drag and drop it into the left side of the Multiterm window again. This may require some repetitions, but it worked for me, using Multiterm 7.5

But how do I move the entry display back to the middle? Jul 4, 2007

Hi Marinus,

I have got the browse pane and the project pane in small outside the Multiterm window now, but I need to change the position of the entries displayed from the left-hand side back to the middle of the screen, otherwise every time I try to slot back the panes the entries will get covered up.

How do I get the entry display back to the middle of the screen? Is a fresh installation the simplest way?

Astrid

Well, I have done a fresh installation Jul 4, 2007

...and it appears to have been the quickest way to solve the problem.
