Help! How do I slect a new termbase? 6:11am

Again its simple things that cause problems. I have been sent a term base to use. Under terminology recognition options I select browse, the term base I was sent isn't offered. The dialog box does not offer the possibility to browse through files like windows usually does. How do I get to select the termbase which has been sent to me?

Multiterm works together with Trados Workbench Jul 7, 2007

Using Workbench, go to
OPTIONS > Term recognition options
select the multiterm version (MT 7 or 5)

Browse the termbase location

Select the source and target language.

To to TAB Settings > check on "Run terminology in the background".

I hope it helps.

(This will work if the Multiterm file has been sent to you complete, and you don't need to convert it and to creat a new term base using Multiterm).

Your multiterm version? Jul 7, 2007

What is your multiterm version?
As I understood the file which has been sent to you is .mdb or other supported format of multiterm, First (for multiterm 7) you must create a termbase with this file and give a termbase name, then you can browse

OK, progress Jul 7, 2007

I opened the multiterm software - termbase - load external termbase
After doing this i was able to go back into the workbench and select the termbase thatwas sent to me.
Why is this done in a separate software ?
And how do I know its doing anything?

ignore Jul 7, 2007

case already solved evidently.

btw: MultiTerm is not that much "other software" - without it there's no TWB functionality.
