Does anyone know how to fix this in Trados?

I'm trying to import a txt. file to a Trados 7 memory, but it just gives me the above error message. I can't see what it actually says about "The import file .. ", because as soon as I try to skip along the line of text, the message just disappears.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks a lot, Margreet. Only the second link actually gives you info on what to do, but ... erm, I didn't understand what he meant!!! "Export the existing TM", "Copy the header part" etc.

I know a few things about Trados, but this reads like rocket science to me.

I'll get back to him at some point maybe.

I didn't really understand either, I think some text, maybe code, is missing.
I was hoping it would make sense to you, but apparently it doesn't. Tough luck!

The formatting tags, like {/fonttbl...}, are only visible if you open RTF files using a text editor. A word processor, like MS Word, automatically hides them, just like FrontPage automatically hides the head, body, b, etc. tags in HTML files.

To see what Edward is talking about, open a copy of the TM file with Notepad. That way if you makes inadvertant changes, you've only affected an unimportant copy & not the original file.
