Problem with WinAlign
Thread poster: Andrea Nicosia
I have just bought SDL Trados 2007 with a Group of Buyers, but I still can't open WinAlign. As I try to do it there is a message saying "C:\\Documents and Settings\All users\Dati applicazioni\SDL International\Filters\PluginFileFilterDefinitions.xml could not be located".
A similar message is displayed when I open "Filter settings".
What does that mean? Maybe I did something wrong when installing the software. I've got no clue at this point.
Anyway I believe that WinAlign is included in SDL's licence, isn't it?
Thanks for any suggestion.

Have you tried to search for that "PluginFileFilterDefinitions.xml" file in the CD-ROM (or download folder)?
If you find it and you copy it into the \Filters folder, that would solve your problem, I think.
Just in case, the searching procedure is:
- Go to the unit or folder where you have the software,
- Right-click on it
- Select "Search..." (or maybe it is "Find...", I'm not sure because my OS is in Spanish)
- Type the name and the extension of the "PluginFileFilterDefinitions.xml" file
- Click the "Search" button
I hope this helps.
