Hello!
I have been using Trados 6.5 for about a year withour problems. Lately, I can't seem to be able to pick up the TM files sent to me by clients. I go into File>New> or File>Open in the Workbench but can't see the saved file. Is it a bug? I can, however, create a new TM file.
Help much appreciated. Nina

Can't pick up TM (txt.)-file

TXT files can't be open in Workbench, they can be only imported into an existing TM (File - Import). Also, make sure the TXT file is not in the Trados 7 format, otherwise the imported segments will be corrupted.

Will try to import. But if it is Trados 7.0, does this mean I can't use the TM at all?

It worked to import it. Can you tell me if I need to do anything else?

If you import a TXT file in Trados 7 format into Trados 6.5, you will be able to use the TM, but special characters (if any) will be corrupted.
You don't need to do anything else after importing a TXT file.
