In preparation for our next release I have to pretranslate a large number of htm files (Online Help)

My first issue is that we don't have the bilingual files so we I need to start from scratch using the previous release.

So I would like to know if this is the best way to do it.

1. Use WinAlign to align Version 1 English and Language X
2. Export project
3. Create new TM in workbench
4. Use workbench translate function to translate Version 1 English files to Language X files to create bilingual ttx files.
4. Use Context TM wiz to pretranslate Version 2 English to Language X (Lock context TM text)

I am using SDL Trados 2007

Hello,

I am not sure I fully understand, but here is the main point: do you have the source and target versions of the 1st batch which was translated? If you have both of them, then you can use either SDLX Align or Winalign to align them.
Once they are aligned, you will be able to create a TM, then translate the new batch of files.

Hope it helps!
