Dear Colleagues,

I dug up your thread of August/early September concerning connection error 21474677621. The suggestion to delete MultiTerm7dot.xml worked for me. Thanks!

Now I have interface between WB and MT, and between MT and Word.

In WB I can see the red flag above words in the termbase. However, the same red flag does not appear in Word.

Does anyone have the same problem? How can it be solved?

Thanks.

No red 'flag' in Word for Multiterm hits Sep 27, 2007

Hi

I don't think there is supposed to be a red 'flag' or bracket above MultiTerm hits in Word. This is a feature of Workbench.

Mind you, it would be nice if it was a feature in Word. Having to jump back and forth with your eyes from Workbench to Word and vice versa can be tiresome. The way it is now it's too much trouble to enter the term into the translated segment. I often find I just don't bother, which makes MultiTerm into nothing more than a reference work for me.

I hope that in future MultiTerm will be better integrated into the Word/Trados environment.

Thanks Marinus,

Indeed, then, what is the point of Multiterm from the individual translator's point of view?

Multiterm also works with SDL Edit, part of SDLX, where you can arrange the Multiterm hits to be displayed side by side with your translation and apply them in batch mode or individually, using keyboard shortcuts.
