Does Trados distinguish between cursive, bold and normal letters?

Hello everyone!
I have two (very) similar files: almost same text, but different format. Here is my problem: Trados doesn't give me the sweetest green box!! Is is possible to change its settings so that it recognizes the identical segments (although one is in cursive and the other one not)?
I know I could change the format of one of the text... but I hope there is another option.
Thanks, Ileana M. Pop

Penalties in Trados
Nov 7, 2007
You can set the "Penalties" for "Formatting differences penalty %" to 0. You will find this under Options -> Translation Memory Options - > Penalties. Then you should get the green box, irrespective of whether the text is bold or in italics etc.
Best regards, Lisa
