Hi,
I was just trying to clean up my word document, when the process stopped and an error message dispalyed: "Can't process RTF format". But it's a word file, so what's happening?
TIA!
Carolin

Perhaps not the correct format

Eventhough a file has the RTF extension, it might actually be a .doc file (and vice versa). Check it by opening the file in Word and pressing F12 (Save as) and see what format Word is showing be default. This is the actual format of the file.

I did, and it was really a word doc. What eventually DID help was saving it under word 97-2003/RTF (!!!). Then, the cleaning worked just fine.

But in this case, if you insert "Can't process RTF format" in the I'm looking for the keywords field, you get three articles, of which No. 3 is the one you're looking for:

You know, I tend to become a little panicky when things like this happen a mere half hour before I have to hand something in. I hadn't even thought of the SDL Support page...
Thank you for the link - I'll search for clues there next time.
