Missing Trados Toolbar in Word
Thread poster: Christian Duse
I have the following problem.
After translating a footnote in Word and some wild clicking, the Trados toolbar has disapeared.
The Trados menue is still shown, every function is working, MultiTerm toolabar and menue is also shown, but the Trados toolbar is missing.
The dot files are also OK (of course)
I have tried the following link and deleted the registry entries:
http://sdl.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/sdl.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=979&p_created=1120058574&p_ sid=LZkiKNQi&p_accessibility=0&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9M TM5JnBfcHJvZHM9MCZwX2NhdHM9MCZwX3B2PSZwX2N2PSZwX3NjZl9MYW5ndWFnZT0mcF9wYWdlPTEmcF9zZWFyY2hfdGV4dD1id XR0b24gYmFy&p_li=&p_topview=1
But it dont solve the problem. Also i have newly deinstalled and installed Trados, but nothing helped to solve the problem.

| You have Trados menu and Trados functions without Trados.dot? || Nov 22, 2007 |
As i said before, trados is workling fine, just the toolbar is missing. So i dont need to activate the Trados.dot in Word because without activated Trados.dot, i would have no Trados functions and no Trados menue at all, and this, in my case, is not the point.
| Click on the Trados "flag waving" man icon on top toolbar || Nov 22, 2007 |
If the Trados dot module is activated then clicking on the Trados "red flag waving man" icon on the top toolbar should restore the trados tools to view.
| Flag man starts the whole, but not the toolbar alone || Nov 22, 2007 |
If i start Word, i have no Trados Menue. When i click on the man with the two flgs, the the Trados menue appers, but not the toolbar.
And the toolbar is also not in the list of possible toolbars in Word (Rightlklick on top toolbar). It is just missing while everything else is fine.

1) Click on tools
2) Choose the option: models and suplements
3) Click ADD.
4) In the dialog add model, browse to the folder where the Trados model is.
C:\Program File\TRADOS\Tx_FL\TT\Templates and select the TRADOSx.DOT model
"X" in the structure above is the version number of your Trados.
5) when you go back to the models and suplements dialog box, select OK.
In case it does not work, open the menu Display and Toll Bars and mark Trados.
Hope it helps...
