Hi everybody,

I have a problem with my TagEditor: when I try to open the TTX file, the following message appears:

(80003): TagEditor cannot open the TTX file because the DataType value is not recognized.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Trados version? File type? Nov 24, 2007

What is your Trados version? What is the file type? (I know it's TTX, but is this XLS.TTX, DOC.TTX?)

Hi,

Thank you Pavel for the link. It seems I cannot open inx.ttx file because this kind of file is not compatible with Trados 5.5...
I think I have no other solution than refuse the job.

Thank you all for your help.

Hi Christelle,

You need at least Trados 7.1 to deal with INX files. The agency who gave you the file should have verified this with you first!

Maybe a workaround could be to Open the TTX in Word using TTXpress?!

But I'd do some serious checking beforehand, to make sure that the agency will be able to clean the TTX for you afterwards.

INX files contain the tag structure from hell, and if you mess it up you'll wish you'd hadn't started.

/Jan
