Hello,

My Trados normal.dot has been damaged so Trados doesn't work.. This has happened before (that's why I'm not panicking:).


I remember resolving it last time by setting back my computer to an earlier date when the normal.dot was still functioning: I found this advice in a forum post which I can't find anymore..

It is a function in Windows that sets back the computer, so only programmes that have been installed after that given date will be lost. Documents etc. won't be lost.

I hope this is clear enough (I'm not very technical..). Does anybody maybe know where I can find this function??

A Microsoft support person once advised me to delete normal.dot when all Office applicatons are closed, then restart Word. This leads to the creation of a clean-as-a-baby normal.dot.
